“Der boese Rolf” is based on a co-operation between Lessziskus and Less (Father & Son). It comes from a radio play called “Das schwarze Zimmer”, a dramatic journey that shows the life of a madman in a psychiatric clinic. “Every night his blood turns black. Then the scissor grinder comes out and carves on his soul”. Text and voice part come from Lessziskus, the musical background from Less. At “24 hours desire” a desire is described and musically recreated that is dedicated to a Woman, who brought demand, fortune and pain. The remixes of “Der boese Rolf” where delivered by the Berlin-Duo Freund der Familie and Martin Hayes from Dresden. Both tracks stay in a massive contrast to the original. perfect for koax – working on someones last nerve, then driving and in the end calming.

“Sub Ghetto live”, as the name implies, more deepness isnt possible. Spherical, dubby and emotional-melancholic. Whereas – indefinable sound in track 2 called “Pesos”. Melodical, deep and calm but somehow shoving. Less remix starts quietly but really crashes about later on.
Plus1 is remixing Sub Ghetto live in a monotonic way with pressure and a touch of acid. You have to be prepared for that what will come from denmark soon….

Florian Schirmacher and Engin Oezturk are “Here Today”. The Combo from Hamburg and Berlin brings us their new ep “Love in us all”.The “Inside-Mix” comes to the point at once. The few Elements are used very skillfull, so the whole track is really effective! Differently from the original which has a changover that will find no peer and ensures a lot of discussions. However the 2 remixes are miles away…. The “Databoy78 Remix” pleases us with a playful house version and Norman Mueller finally breaks the ice to the dancefloor. Finally “Good News on the Beach” drops out of the grid completely. Airy Sound for the more calm moments.
So much contrast in a ep, even – for the love in us all!!!!
The common named title is perfect to wobble around the corner. Larded with playful elements – but still nothing just for the first gear. However “Russ” gives a fresh headwind and you can easily shift up some gears. Warm Drums and creaking Synths are winding around a grooving beat. “Skidovre” is so calm, that it forces you to dangle your feet. Spheric Surfaces and a fine soft Beat yield a shape to dream. Optimal for Tandem-Back-Seat-Passengers. Even as calm is the track “Subghetto”. Made of mystical Elements, the crafty subbasses dont leave much to be desired.
So, exchange your racing-cycle into a cruiser and lets go to the countryside.

The teeth of „sawmill woodworm“ & „my domestic animal plant“ are sharper than any membrane, only a tinnitus-like sawdust remains. Vinyl-vitamin B afterwards. The remixes of „my domestic animal plant“ by undr p & martin hayes are there to recover from the otosclerosis, that helps restructuring the acoustic senses and to get along with the real world. After the OVER EP by PLUS1, KOAX is now presenting its second strike- KX02 “ILTSCHI EP” – a versatile work including three tracks in an amazing blaze of colour. Minimal, electro, techno… what else could we expect? Originator of this record is the Kassel-based DJ Norman Müller, who also rocked the Stammheim some years ago. He takes us away on an electronic journey to the Wild West, into his imaginary home-sweet-home. So let’s take the bike and move out to Old-Iltschi-Town. Even the first track “SILBERBÜCHSE” on the a-side is an electromonster, reduced, easy, crazy and effective – here the sand in the desert will massively quake. The second track by Norman on the a-side “A ONE A TWO A WINNETOU” gallops fast forward. The best mixture for the peak time in a saloon. yippee-ya-yeah! The flip-side comes with a remix from RAINER LIEST, which puts the original in a revelling dub-techno robe. From surface to surface his dub inferno grows… Just saddle your chickens and ride into the sunrise.
The sounds on KOAX01 are a mixture of progressive elements by keeping its lightheartedness. On the a side plus1 concocted two tracks in which is no awaiting for coming to the point – perfect for hungry dance-food freaks. The other side comes up with a blanched track that is more calm in taste but screams for beeing eaten completely.
Result: A full meal, consisting of a tasty appetizer for the ravenous appetite and a calm main course that melts in the ear. Everything spiced by chef Plus1.
